Silver Eagles

The Silver Eagle was introduced in 1986 and incorporates the Walking Liberty design that was present on half dollars from 1916 through 1947. Although the coin has a face value of $1, the silver content of the coins make them much more valuable. Since 2001, the coins have been produced as the West Point Mint.
