Standing Liberty

The Standing Liberty Quarter replaced the popular Barber Quarter, but was relatively short-lived. The coin was introduced in 1916, but faced extreme controversy over the exposed right breast of Liberty on the obverse. The design was modified slightly in 1917 to cover the exposed breast and again in 1925 to prevent premature wear of the date. The series was halted in 1930 and later replaced by the Washington Quarter in 1932.

We no longer regularly stock pre-1925 Standing Liberty Quarters, but will periodically have some available throughout the year.
