Mint & Proof Sets

Mint Sets have been produced since 1947 and Proof Sets have been produced since 1936. These sets give collectors an opportunity to own specially-struck (proof set) or uncirculated (mint set) coins issues during a given year. These sets are different from "year sets" in that they were originally produced and sold by the United States Mint.
