Lincoln Shield

The Lincoln Cent is one of the longest-running coinage designs in United States history, although the reverse design has changed several times since its introduction in 1909. In 2010, following a series of four cents commemorating the 200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln and the 100th anniversary of the introduction of the Lincoln Cent, the Lincoln Shield Cent was introduced and remains in production today.
