Roosevelt![]() The Roosevelt Dime replaced the Mercury Dime in 1946 and is still in use today. The Coinage Act of 1965 removed the silver content from the dime (as well as the quarter and, in 1971, the half dollar), and replaced it with a clad composition of 75 percent copper and 25 percent nickel.
